Butch’s HistoryButch's Bore Shine was developed by Charles L. "Butch" Fisher (1947- 2007), one of our country's best and most well known Bench Rest Shooters. While serving in the US Coast Guard as a Gunners Mate, Butch developed a passion for firearms and their maintenance and later his love of benchrest shooting. It was this passion for accuracy that led him to develop the perfect firearms cleaning solvent, in the garage of his Montana home. This new solvent, "Butch's Bore Shine", took the competitive shooting market by storm, and by 2000, was in such demand that Butch and his partner Leo, joined forces with Lyman Products to promote and distribute this revolutionary gun-cleaning product to shooters worldwide. Since then, the name Butch’s has become synonymous with quality gun care and maintenance. Butch's Cleaning Patches, Gun Oil and Black Powder Bore Cleaner have since been added to the line and have become popular with shooters looking for the best in firearms care.
